JorgObe Peeling Face Mask Review

So, as mentioned a couple of weeks ago in my 'Online Haul' post, I wanted to do a full & in depth review of this new discovery of mine, the wonder mask from JorgObe, a Danish skin care brand promising a clearer & more beautiful complexion!

I have to say, I was so excited to try this out when I first discovered it a month or so ago on Facebook; having never heard of it before, I knew immediately that this was something that had 100% grabbed my attention & I wouldn't be happy until I'd had a little test of it myself. At £21 a pop, with postage & package added to that, I have to admit that it's not the cheapest product I've ever purchased, but it promised me great things, & I was intrigued by the photos I'd seen of it in use, so I thought why not?

The first thing I noticed when I initially used the mask was the consistency; It's fairly thick, meaning a tiny amount goes a very long way. The smell isn't the most pleasant I've ever experienced, I have to say, & my eyes were definitely watering as I first applied it! The instructions on the back say that you have to apply it in 'a covering layer in the T-Zone (nose, forehead & chin) - except for around the eyes & hairy areas' (Very important, as I'll explain later on!). I then left it to work it's magic for the specified 25-30 minutes, & I was so excited to see the amazing results once it had dried fully!

I have to say, I wasn't immediately taken by this product, which was so disappointing as I'd had such high hopes! I don't know if I'd been expecting too much due to the advertising of the product, but it had looked so easy & simple to use; It wasn't. It was bordering on painful. It did leave my skin very smooth, & my pores were visibly smaller, especially on my nose, but when it came to removing it, it pulled at my skin too much, & it just wasn't enjoyable. I'm hoping that after a few time using it, I will get used to it, so fingers crossed!

As mentioned above, the instructions stated to keep eyes & hair covered areas of your face, such as eyebrows, well out of the way when using the product. Even the tiniest amount can trap the hairs & tug, which, believe me, is not comfortable. As I was photographing the product for this post, I swatched a small amount on the back of my hand to highlight the drying & peeling, but I didn't account for having the small hairs removed in the process; definitely a no go!

In terms of results, I was happy with the way my skin felt after the redness had subsided a little, as it did feel alot smoother & cleaner than before. However, I do think I'll have to keep trying it out until it wins me over one hundred percent! Other products are available from the JorgObe website, all at similar prices, so if you want to try them out for yourself, head to the link below. However, in my opinion, for the price you're paying, there are other more skin-friendly products out there!
