It's that wonderful time of year again; We hit the first of the month & the countdown begins, ticking off the days until it's Christmas Eve. The thing I love most about this time of year is not only the sense of excitement which seems to hit everything & everyone, but the fact that shops everywhere restock to welcome the festive season, especially the big beauty brands! I spotted these wonderful lip colours a few weeks back, & in a variety of shades, I thought they'd be perfect for this year's festivities!
The thing that immediately struck me about these beautiful little lip colours from French brand, Bourjois, was the range of shades on offer, as there really is something suit every style. The three colours I picked were, from top to bottom, 'So Hap'pink', a gorgeous dusky rose, 'Frambourjoise', a pretty coral, & 'Red-volution', a stunning deep red, perfect for the festive season!
The packaging is extremely chic, which is exactly what I expected to see from Bourjois; robust yet compact, it makes them perfect for touch ups on the go as you can just pop them in your bag without them taking up too much
space.
Matte lip colours are having such a huge moment in the spotlight recently, & I have to say I was very excited when I first saw these advertised. With celebrities all over Instagram & other social media sites showcasing the trend {Kylie Jenner has to be one of the biggest names!} I knew it was something I had to try. I've been wary of matte lipsticks in the past because I've known them to be overly drying & flaky, leaving your lips chapped & less than chic, however I was pleasantly surprised. Infused with skin loving oils, these colours glide on like a gloss & you honestly have no idea you're wearing anything, let alone a highly pigmented matte lipstick. Their precise wand shape means that they can be applied in a flash on the go with ease, & they look fab both popped directly onto the lip for a quick flash of colour, or dabbed on with a fingertip for that flushed, countryside, soft lip look.
At just under nine pound a pop, these aren't the cheapest lip colours I've ever come across, but for the product you're actually getting, it's well worth the pennies! I honestly can't praise Bourjois' efforts enough here, & I know I'll be updating my collection of Rouge Edition colours very soon!
Until next time, my lovelies,
xox
