Festive Lush Haul

I am oh so happy to be able to bring you my very first Lush haul, after being somewhat in two minds about the brand for the last few years. I'd heard raving reviews about their products, but I'd never been inclined to go & purchase any of them for myself, the reason behind which I'm not really sure! However, after seeing a Vlog from one of my all time favourite bloggers, Fleur De Force, I was spurred into taking a visit at the weekend, & I was not disappointed!

The first thing I have to mention is the smell which hits you before you've even reached the door. The typical Lush floral & fruity scents, mixed with the festiveness of the spiced orange, really do make a lasting impression. I honestly could've spent hours in there, choosing between the products on offer, but I had to be strict & limit myself to £20 worth, all of which I've reviewed below!

Dashing Santa Bath Bomb

I chose this simply because, upon walking into Lush, I was immediately feeling the Christmas cheer, what with the array of glitter & festive scents, & I just could not pass up on buying one (or two...) Father Christmas based products! I thought he was oh-so cute, & he smells absolutely divine, too, how could a girl say no? The product tagline on the label is 'the citrus essential oils in the bath bomb will put a spring in your step, drop into the water & watch Santa fly'. I've adored any bath bombs I've received as presents in the past from Lush, so I'm very excited to use this! Plus, I'm hoping the essential oils will help leave my skin feeling nourished & soft, I guess I'll just have to wait & see. As a whole, I thought this particular buy was fab, & he was just too sweet to say no to!

Snow Angel Bath Melt

Firstly, how sweet is this? It's a bath melt, meaning rather than fizzing in your bath water, it melts, leaving your skin feeling soft & moisturised. It's a Christmas angel, & as you can probably see, it's absolutely covered in gold glitter, which looks stunning, but it honestly couldn't be more messy (my hands were covered by the time I'd photographed all of my buys, I looked like a Christmas decoration myself!).  Also, as it's a melt, it doesn't last long under the heat of your fingers, so I'll definitely be leaving this in it's little green bag until I come to use it! Again, it smells absolutely heavenly; It contains cocoa butter, so it's a mixture between cocoa & vanilla, with just a hint of the typical floral Lush scent thrown in aswell, perfection.

Father Christmas Bath Bomb

The second of my Father Christmas themed purchases! Honestly, before I visited Lush, I hadn't planned to buy myself so many festive themed goodies, but I just could not resist! He was just so cheerful looking, how could I pass up on that? I think the thing that I adore the most about Lush, having now visited & purchased my first items, is the detailing that goes into each one, yet as they're 100% handmade, each one is unique! I can't wait to see how this one turns out in my bath when I finally get round to using it, yet he's so sweet, I don't think I'll want to!

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb

For me, this was my best buy, definitely, it simply epitomises Christmas & the festive season. It's the biggest bath bomb I purchased in this haul, & it's probably the prettiest & most beautiful smelling; It's a rich, mulled wine type of scent, with mingling undertones of spicy orange, & it just smells perfectly Christmassy. Not only does this lovely bath bomb look like a beautiful wrapped little gift, I also discovered another little surprise; when you give it a shake, it has things inside that rattle, which I'm very excited to see! I'm honestly feeling like Christmas could not come quickly enough!

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

Finally, something un-Christmas related! I've used this once before, having received it as part of a birthday present, & it honestly has to be one of my all time favourites! The label says 'Make bathtime an even sweeter treat with this bubble-bar, crumble under running water for mountains of glistening candy-scented bubbles.' Rather than placing straight into the water, crumbling means it bubbles up straight away, & what it says on the label is true; You only need the tiniest amount & it creates piles & piles of bubbles which last simply forever. The scent is a very typical Lush smell; Very sweet, very floral, & very 'candy' like, simply gorgeous! It's very shimmery, & sherbert like in texture, the surface covered in a powdery like glitter which gets everywhere; My bathroom for the next few months is going to be absolutely covered!

Hand & Body Lotion - Charity Pot

This cute little pot of goodness was an added little extra once I'd gathered all of my various buys & made my way to the checkout. I was asked if I wanted to buy a sweet little 100g pot of Hand & Body Lotion for an extra £1, the proceeds of which would be going to charity, & I simply couldn't say no. It smells simply divine, really rich cocoa butter, & it leaves your skin super soft & smooth. There's nothing more I can really say about this, apart from if you have the chance to go to Lush in the next couple of weeks, say yes if you're offered one of these at the counter; Not only will you be taking care of your skin, you'll be helping a great cause in the process!

After this weekend, I think a true love or Lush has been cemented firmly in my heart. I'll definitely be making another visit very soon, so keep an eye open for that!

Until then, lovelies
